Runtime error 424 is one of the many errors computer users might face when running the Microsoft Windows XP or Vista operating system software. Runtime errors prevent certain applications or programs from being accessed and can hamper effective usage of the computer for work and entertainment purposes. Thus, you do not need Internet Explorer 6.0 if you really need to use that Office Chart and use the internet.

You could go around the system by choosing not to use Microsoft Office Chart Wizard when trying to insert Office Chart. Instead, create your chart without using the wizard. To make changes necessary for this option to be put in place, right-click on the chart on which you are working on and select the “Property Toolbox” option found on the corresponding menu.

For solving relevant errors pertaining to Microsoft Outlook 2000, you would need to solve the error by selecting HTML as the chose format for editing the runtime error message. This step is different as compared to solving Runtime error 424 in Microsoft Access. In this case open the “Tools” main menu that is found on Microsoft Outlook 2000. Select “Options” from this menu. Subsequently, on the “Mail Format” tab, in the Send in this message format” list, select the format which you would like and click on “Ok’ to make the changes.

To sum up, Runtime error 424, like all other computer related problems can be solved if one is able to identify the root cause behind these problems. This is just the per-card cost savings. We haven’t even mentioned what you will save on shipping as well as the fact that you can print as much or as little as you want without any penalties. Throughout the years there have been many technologies involved with notebooks, and laptop batteries are no different. There are actually three distinct notebook battery types on the market today. Knowing the difference between them will help you decide on exactly what to get when the time comes for a purchase.

In this article I will discuss the three different laptop battery types, as well as some of the advantages each one carries.

Nickel Cadmium - NiCd batteries were actually the first rechargeable laptop batteries ever. Manufactures loved them because their cost was relatively low and they had a high output. You won’t find Nickel Cadmium batteries being used anymore, due to them being heavier and not as efficient as the newer laptop batteries.

Nickel Metal Hydride - NiMH batteries can still be found all over the place — particularly for older model laptops. The rechargeable NiMH laptop battery was a big step up for notebook technology mostly in part because they were more reliable than the NiCd batteries, and they had an even higher output. The NiMH battery was also cheaper to produce, and safer to use.

The only issue with NiMH batteries is that they can have a memory effect. Basically, if you don’t fully discharge the battery, it can remember this and leave you with a less than perfect battery output.

Lithium Ion - LiON batteries are now used in most new laptops. Unlike the NiMH battery, LiON laptop batteries have no memory effect. LiON batteries are also lighter than both NiCd and NiMH notebook batteries. Both of these advantages equal out to the Lithium Ion battery being the most popular and most expensive among the various notebook power sources.

You are probably wondering which type of battery to get. Getting a Lithium Ion battery would be the best solution, and if you have the money that is what I recommend. If you cannot afford a LiON battery or your notebook is not compatible with one, then getting a NiMH battery is the next best thing.

The new Smart Brush tool is a combination of the Quick Selection tool (which was introduced in Elements 6) and adjustment layers; it offers a quick way to adjust, enhance, and add effects to your photos and is located in the Full Edit area of the Editor.

When you select the Smart Brush, a Presets menu pops open, showing nearly 70 effects-in nine categories-that can be applied to your photo. Make your choice from the list (we used Dark-Sky in our example, shown below) and simply paint on your image over the area you want the effect to be applied. After you draw an initial selection,the tool automatically switches to the Add to Selection mode, so to add to your affected area, simply continue selecting. To take away part of your selected area, you can use the Subtract from Selection button or hold down Alt on your keyboard and paint away the parts you want to eliminate.

How does it work? If you take a look at the Layers palette, you’ll see that an adjustment layer was created-in our example, a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer-along with the layer mask that accompanies adjustment layers. The area you selected is shown in white on the mask, thus revealing the effect. The black areas on the mask are hiding the effect.

To revise the effect you created, you can either double-click the adjustment layer in the Layers palette or you can double-click the red adjustment pin located in your selection on the image. As long as the layer is one supported by Elements, the dialog box for that adjustment layer will open and you can make any changes you wish.

Some of the presets were created using an adjustment layer found in the full version of PhotoShop and not in Elements, so you won’t be able to edit these effects.
